Our Process
1
Fit Meeting
You need to feel comfortable and safe with your financial advisor. During this get-to-know-you, we are upfront about our values, fees, financial planning and investment philosophy, and anything else you need to know about us and how we operate.
In return, we hope to get to know your story, values, goals, and how we might serve you and your family. Eventually, we would want this to be a partnership where you can feel free to share your honest thoughts, opinions, and ideas.
2
Initial Consultation
If you decide to work with us, we will set up a meeting with you to review your current financial situation, including your budget, investments, insurance, will and estate plan, etc. We take a no judgement approach—our goal is to simply get to know your financial situation better so we can help you give, live, and grow.
We will ask questions like:
-
What is keeping you awake at night?
-
What has been working for you?
-
What is not working for you?
-
What are your intentions for your assets?
-
What charitable organizations or causes do you care about?
3
First Findings/Suggestions
A financial plan is more like a living thing that is constantly changing, growing, and adapting to your life and circumstances than a stagnant object that is crafted once and left to gather dust on your mantle.
Based on our initial conversations, we will organize our findings into short, medium, and long term goals. We will then review this with you for accuracy and adjustments. We will make suggestions for specific strategies, like: what types of investment accounts to open, the return required to meet your objectives, and the level of risk you are comfortable with.
4
Setting Up Accounts/Investments
During this call, we begin the process of setting up investments and accounts to serve your goals and financial plan. We collect information, signatures, and your confidence in us!
5
First Review
Once your accounts have been established and funded or your existing investments have been transferred over, we will arrange a virtual call to review your setup with us. We hope to leave you feeling at peace knowing we are keeping an eye on your financial plan and will contact you to plan regular review meetings to ensure everything is on track (at least 1–2 times
a year).
6
Ongoing Adjustments
and Monitoring
During the early stages of our partnership on your finances, you might find yourself needing a little extra love and care through more frequent touch points and conversations. We welcome this, as we want you to feel comfortable and confident knowing we have your back.
Over time, we will establish a cadence of meeting and speaking with each other that works best for your family. And most importantly, when there are any significant changes in your life, we want to be among the first to know! Whether it is to celebrate, grieve, or discern together, you’re not alone. And we will update your financial plan accordingly.
